NEW DELHI — Wing Commander (Dr.) Pushkal Vijay Dwivedi (Retd.), a former Indian Air Force officer, prominent geopolitical analyst and multidisciplinary public figure, has been appointed to the top management of the Bhartiya Shiksha Board Society, the institutional body governing the Bhartiya Shiksha Board (BSB).
Dwivedi has been appointed as a ‘Vishisht Sadasya’ (Distinguished Member) of the Society, bringing his extensive experience in defence, strategic affairs, geopolitics, education, research, journalism, innovation and public engagement into the senior leadership of India’s school education body.
The appointment was approved by the Society’s Managing Committee at its meeting on September 12, 2026, with the formal communication issued two days later by Rajesh Pratap Singh, IPS (Retd.), Secretary of the Bhartiya Shiksha Board.
The appointment comes as the Bhartiya Shiksha Board continues to develop an education framework that seeks to integrate Indian knowledge traditions, culture and heritage with contemporary education and skills.
From the Indian Air Force to education and strategic affairs
Dr. Dwivedi’s professional journey spans military service, strategic affairs, geopolitical analysis, education, defence production, journalism, authorship, research and technological innovation. He is specially known for his intelligence tenures and is also a celebrated media personality as analytical geopitical stretegist.
After serving in the Indian Air Force, he moved into a range of fields connected with national security, public policy, education and strategic affairs. He has also established a public profile as a geopolitical strategist and defence analyst, appearing on television and other public platforms to discuss international affairs, national security and geopolitical developments.
His international responsibilities include his appointment as International Chief Secretary (Crime Prevention) at GHRT, a United Nations-linked organisation, adding an international dimension to his work in security, crime prevention and public affairs.
