This Indian Author Is Showing That Personal Finance Doesn’t Have to Be Complicated.

Many people believe personal finance is difficult. Words like SIP, mutual funds, compounding, asset allocation, and inflation often make the subject feel confusing before people even begin learning about it. As a result, many working professionals avoid managing their own money and depend on others to make financial decisions for them.

Dr. Deepthi Rao Gorukanti believes it does not have to be that way.

A doctor, professor, and hospital administrator, Dr. Deepthi has spent years working with professionals from different fields. During that time, she noticed that many educated people earned good incomes but still felt unsure about budgeting, saving, investing, and planning for the future. It was not because they lacked the ability to learn. It was because personal finance was often explained in a complicated way.

That simple observation led her to write A Doctor’s Guide to Financial Health, a book written for people who want clear answers without technical language.

Why Personal Finance Feels Harder Than It Really Is

Dr. Deepthi believes the biggest challenge is not the subject itself. It is the way people are introduced to it.

Many books and online resources use financial terms that beginners have never heard before. For someone reading about money for the first time, this can feel overwhelming. Instead of learning step by step, many people decide that finance is only meant for experts.

She believes this keeps many working professionals from building good financial habits, even though these skills are useful in everyday life.

A Finance Book Without Complicated Language

When Dr. Deepthi started writing A Doctor’s Guide to Financial Health, she had one clear goal. She wanted readers to finish the book feeling that finance was easier than they had imagined.

Indian Author

Instead of using complicated explanations, she chose simple English and everyday examples. Each chapter explains one topic at a time, making it easier for readers to understand how budgeting, debt management, mutual funds, compounding, and financial planning work.

Her aim was to write a book that first-time readers could read with confidence, even if they had never picked up a finance book before.

Using Everyday Situations to Explain Money

Money is part of daily life, so Dr. Deepthi believes financial lessons should also come from daily life.

Rather than filling the book with difficult calculations or technical discussions, she uses familiar situations like monthly household expenses, credit card bills, salary planning, savings, and future goals.

These examples help readers see how financial decisions affect everyday life. They also show that managing money is built on simple habits repeated over time.

Understanding Money Before Investing It

One message appears throughout the book. Good financial decisions do not depend on knowing every investment product in the market.

They begin with understanding the basics.

Dr. Deepthi encourages readers to create a budget, avoid unnecessary debt, save regularly, and learn how simple investment options work before making major financial decisions.

Her book is not about becoming wealthy in a short time. It is about helping readers build confidence, reduce financial stress, and make thoughtful decisions with the money they earn.

Encouraging More People to Learn About Money

Readers have welcomed the book for its easy language and practical advice. It has received many positive reviews on Amazon, and Apollo Hospitals Executive Vice Chairperson Dr. Sangeetha Reddy has also shared a video review.

Along with her work as a doctor, professor, and hospital administrator, Dr. Deepthi continues to encourage financial literacy through her writing. She is also working on her next book, which focuses on psychology and self-help.

Through A Doctor’s Guide to Financial Health, Dr. Deepthi Rao Gorukanti wants readers to see that personal finance is not a subject to fear. When complex ideas are explained in simple words and linked to everyday life, managing money becomes something people can learn with confidence. That belief is at the heart of her work and the reason her book continues to connect with readers from many professions.
