A meaningful academic & research milestone has been achieved by Independent Researcher & Numerologist Jyotsnaa G Bansal in the field of Numerology and Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS).
Her latest research paper, published in Prajnā, a respected research journal of Poornaprajna Samshodhana Mandiram, Bengaluru, studies the relationship between Indian philosophy and Numerology. The institute is recognised as an “Adarsha Shodha Samsthan” by Central Sanskrit University, New Delhi.
This publication is an important step because it brings Numerology into a more serious academic discussion. Usually, Numerology is seen only as a belief-based or prediction-related practice. However, this research reflects her continuing effort to study Numerology through research and looks at it from a wider and more scholarly point of view. It shows that Numerology need not be seen as a separate or vague subject
Contributing to Indian Knowledge Systems
Over the past few years, Jyotsnaa’s work brings together different areas of Indian Knowledge Systems by presenting research papers on various topics on IKS, Puranas, Ayurveda, the Chakra system, and Numerology at national and international conferences.
Her work has been presented at prestigious institutions such as St. Stephen’s College, Central Sanskrit University and Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri National Sanskrit University.
One of her earlier papers on Ayurvedic Numerology was selected among the first ten papers at a University of Delhi conference. The conference souvenir was released by the then Hon’ble Education Minister, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan. Later, the research received wider public attention after Panchjanya published a feature on National Ayurveda Day 2025.
The Path to Independent Research
Jyotsnaa’s path into research began after building a successful professional career. She holds Master’s degrees in Commerce and Human Resource Management and has more than 13 years of experience in the Human Resources field.
Alongside her professional work, she developed a strong interest in Indian knowledge systems, Numerology and related occult sciences like Reiki, Crystals etc. Over time, that interest grew into serious academic research. Rather than limiting her work to personal study, she chose to present her findings through research papers, conferences and academic publications.
Research, Books and Public Engagement
Beyond research papers, Jyotsnaa shares her work through books, newspaper columns, and academic publishing. She writes on Indian Knowledge Systems, Spirituality, Numerology, and daily life related subjects for publications such as The Daily Guardian and Panchjanya.
She also serves as the Managing Editor of ASMITAA, an international peer-reviewed academic magazine that publishes articles on Indian knowledge, culture, yoga, spirituality, heritage and other traditional subjects.
In 2024, she published “Hypothyroidism Healed: Combined Holistic Approach – Yoga, Reiki, Mantra & Crystals”, a book based on her personal healing experience and holistic practices.
Building the Next Phase of Research
In 2026, Jyotsnaa G. Bansal received the “Arundhati – International Vidushi Pratibha Samman” at the University of Lucknow by Global Sanskrit Forum in recognition of her work in research, literature and Indian knowledge traditions.
Her recently published research paper marks another step in her academic work as well as in the field of Numerology and also forms the foundation of her further research work on Numerology. As Indian Knowledge Systems receive greater attention across academic institutions, Jyotsnaa continues to support this growing field through research, writing, conference presentations, and academic publishing.
